Norre Sandager Kirke

Picture

Rasmus Oluffsen Bang born in 1634 appears to be as far back as the Kirkman family name can be traced.  We believe he was born in Bogense Denmark.  We don't have a record of his death to date, any help would be much appreciated.

The picture above is of the Sandager Church In Bogense is built on the remains of a Roman church. The sacristy and nave is supposedly from the Gothic period, tower and chapels from the Renaissance period and the porch from the 19th century. The eastern side serves as chapel, the western side burial chapel for the family of Gyldensteen castle. The church bell is from 1492. The font rests on a statuette of John the Babtist. Chorus and altar were rebuilded in 1997. Arcitect - Ebbe Lehn-Petersen, Odense.
