Neils was a carpenters assistant in the Rosenborg district in Copenhagen, Denmark.
He married Olive Peders on January 9th 1739 in Trinitatis Kirke.

Their first child was baptized and given the name Knud on June 4th 1739. They had nine children, four of them had a very short life.

In 1755 and 1756 Niels was the foreman for the carpenters assistant guild in Copenhagen.
