The full story

I kept refusing to be one thing.

Pro skateboarder. Eagle Scout. Food-truck owner. Commercial roofer. Design leader for brands you drive, play, and bank with. Then buildings: self-storage, apartments, single-family portfolios. Then kitchens. Then a 456-page manual, a mastermind, and a podcast about all of it.

Faith first. Family always. Freedom as the fruit.

Where it started

An entrepreneurial kid who never grew out of it.

I grew up in Orange County starting businesses before I could name what I was doing: pressure washing, a skateboard company, later a food truck and a commercial roofing company. My best friend was the handy one; I dreamed we would flip houses someday, him on the construction, me on the deals. It took twenty years to close that loop, but the picture never left.

Skateboarding got me further than it had any right to: stunt work in Warner Bros’ Grind and a Honda commercial. Scouting got me the Eagle rank and a habit of finishing what I start. Coleman University gave me a computer graphic design degree and a way to turn obsession into a profession. All three taught the same lesson: you are capable of far more than one lane.

The through line ever since: learn the craft, build the system, hand it to a team, go build the next one. Thirteen businesses later, that is still the whole playbook, and it is the playbook I now teach.

The design years

Twenty-plus years with both hands still on the craft.

Before I bought buildings I designed the software behind brands you already know. I led teams, shipped product, and never handed off the craft: I still open Figma, still write front-end, still prototype my own ideas. Every funnel, dashboard, and page in my world today, I designed and built myself.

Where design meets AI
AI-augmented design Agentic workflows Predictive, adaptive UX Human-in-the-loop My own AI cold-caller

The same skills now run my acquisitions: I replaced a ten-person cold-calling team with an AI calling agent I built and now offer to the public.

The buildings

Then I started buying the real thing.

My first BRRRR was a Portland duplex: added a bedroom and bath in the basement, rented it for roughly a quarter more, refinanced the down payment back out tax-free, and kept the asset. That one deal became a system, and the system became a portfolio: multiple self-storage facilities under StorPlus with Prospora Capital Partners, multiple apartment buildings, and a wholesaling engine once run by a Philippines-based team, before I replaced the calling with my own AI agent. The smaller properties are sold off now. The focus is more storage, more acquisitions, boring businesses like laundromats, and more locations of our restaurant brands.

I have secured eight figures in development financing, bought basements that nearly caved in, sold a duplex to a friend, and walked away from far more deals than I have closed. All out of state, all run remotely, on purpose: the systems are the asset.

The businesses

Restaurants keep me honest. Boring businesses keep me curious.

Seoulicious KBBQ and Kokoroll Sushi run with partners who live hospitality; a kitchen reports its five numbers before midnight every night, and that discipline feeds everything else I operate. Before the restaurants there was the food truck, and before that the roofing company; every one taught me margins the hard way.

I stay hungry for the unglamorous: laundromats, storage, service routes, the businesses nobody brags about at parties. Cash flow does not care about cool. And through Kirkman & Company I still design for clients, because the craft pays and the craft teaches.

What I believe

The operating system underneath all of it.

Faith first, family always

I am a Christian, and I build from that. Whatever you believe, anchor to something bigger than the deal, and keep a home of people who count on you and who you can count on. Freedom is the fruit, never the root.

My 80/20, expanded

Eighty percent of results come from twenty percent of effort. If your twenty percent is as good as someone’s hundred, you can run five of them: jobs, businesses, passions, family. There is no salary cap on a life.

90 days per month

Three intentional days inside every calendar day: focus blocks for wealth, for the work, for the life. That is how I stacked jobs in the design years and how I run multiple companies now.

Always get up and rebuild

Ninety-nine percent of what we fear never lands. I have had low, low seasons, and there was always a way to dig out: drive, deliver, stack a job, start again. The rebuild is the skill.

The life it buys

The point was never the portfolio.

Off the clock it is my children, Aria and Odin, the huskies, the truck, and as much wild country as we can reach: summits, slot canyons, cold lakes, dive sites. My everything partner walks every step of it with me, in family, in business, in the life we are building; the partner I always needed, and the wind beneath my wings.

That is what the systems buy: presence. Coaching the game, making the recital, taking the Tuesday hike. It is the whole point, and it is the life I want to help you build too.

Everything I make

One mission, many vehicles. Pick your on-ramp.

Every piece feeds the same goal: you, taking action on your first or next deal.
